Jack Skellington crochet hat ~ Pattern for the Eyes
example: eyes for the Jack Skellington crochet hat |
I have seen many Jack Skellington inspired crochet hats out there, and many use a simple round eye. I felt it wasn't doing the character justice, so I had to design my own eyes for him. This is what I came up with. This eye shape can be manipulated during the finishing process as it is being sewn on to give it more depth. Also, pinching and sewing the hat crochet fabric around the eye, will make the brow and give the piece more depth.
Enjoy all! :)

Welcome to My Blog!
Welcome.
I make things with yarn. It took me many years, but i finally found something I am good at that i can do at home, and still be around for my kids. I crochet. I'm hooked (lol and punny). So welcome to my blog, where I will share the things I make and perhaps how I make them too. I don't use many patterns in my hat making, I deconstruct most of the things I find or sketch out the characters I like. Thanks for viewing my work and feel free to use what ever I post here in your own work.
First Up Is a pair of Hats inspired by the Character Jack Skellington from the movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas." But first I must give credit where credit is due. Thank you to http://bloggers.com/jennlikesyarn for posting her pic of her hat, which was the inspiration for mine, and to Tim Burton ;) for the movie!!
